Your Stories
Welcome to my website
My name is George, I'm 41, married with 3 children and live in the South West of England.
I have suffered with relapse remitting MS now for almost 6 years. During that time I have experienced many different symptoms and have been trying to find ways to help myself cope with it. I have also experienced a variety of emotions as anyone with MS will understand.
This website contains my story and hopefully will help even if it is in a small way other MSers.
It may seem depressing in places, I'm sorry for that. Unfortunately that is the reality of it.
But there are a lot of things I have tried, including having a positive mental state that have really helped. Take a look at the Self Help page there is a 15 minute relaxation download that I've found really good. It is also worth taking a look at the MS resources page.
I am hoping to add a forum section soon where people can share their experiences.

MS Facts
There are three basic types of diagnosis
MS is mainly a western world illness. It is thought to be caused by a faulty auto-immune response in the central nervous system. This response strips part of the myelin sheath (inuslation) around a nerve and leaves a scar - the result causes pain in the area attached to the nerve or longer term damage to the effected area.
There are a great deal of possible symptoms -numbness, back ache, optic neuritis, bowel and bladder problems, breathing difficulties the list is endless. What's difficult is distinguishing between the MS and other possible problems.
For more detailed information have a look at the MS resources page and also search the internet. There is plenty of information out there.
Changes of lifestyle that may help manage MS
- Changing your diet
- Taking regular Exercise
- Reducing Stress
- Relaxation
- Stop / Reduce Smoking
